Mufti Mohammed is an academic and lecturer in Islamic jurisprudence at a theological institute in South Africa. He serves as a consultant and advisor to a few financial institutions, as well deployed at the FNB – First National Bank Africa where he oversees the Shari’ah compliance of the Islamic Finance window. He has extensive experience in the accounting, auditing and governance of Islamic financial institutions and is acutely aware of the contexts, opportunities and limitations that characterise the Islamic Finance industry. Along with a Masters in Theology, He also Holds Bachelors in Accounting and another Masters in Islamic Finance.
