The Siddiq Standard

A standard worth earning

A Shariah business check for Muslim businesses across Australia: a clear verdict, a certificate you can be proud of and a seal your customers learn to trust.

The Siddiq Standard certification seal

التاجرُ الصَّدوقُ الأمينُ معَ النبيِّينَ والصِّدِّيقينَ والشُّهَداءِ

“The truthful, trustworthy merchant will be with the Prophets, the Siddiqin and the martyrs.”

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, narrated in al-Tirmidhi

A business check, not a badge for sale.

The Siddiq Standard is CIEA’s Shariah business check for Muslim businesses. It is not a product certificate.

CIEA’s Shariah board examines how your business actually operates: its structure, financing, income sources, contracts, insurance, marketing and zakat, then issues a clear, scholar-signed verdict.

Where the structure holds, you receive a written certificate and the right to display the seal. Where it does not, you get a plain account of what needs to change and why. No endorsement is given until it does.

Who it is for

  • Startups and entrepreneurs

Structure, funding and agreements checked before habits set in.

  • Trades, stores and service providers

Accountants, lawyers, clinics, retailers and hospitality businesses.

  • Gig and ride-hailing earners

Income across apps, platforms and multiple streams.

  • Digital and marketing businesses

    Software, e-commerce, agencies and creators.

Earn with certainty. Trade with the Siddiqin.

  1. 01

    Certainty for your earnings

Know where your income stands. No more guessing whether that loan, that insurance policy or that contract was right.

  2. 02

A covenant worth living up to

Fourteen centuries ago, the Prophet ﷺ promised the truthful, trustworthy merchant a place with the Prophets, the Siddiqin and the martyrs. The Siddiq Standard exists so a business can live up to that station, and show it.

  3. 03

A mark of integrity your customers recognise

The seal on your website or storefront says plainly that this business has been checked. In a market of unverified claims, that is a real difference.

  4. 04

    Hidden risks, found and fixed

Riba in financing, conventional insurance, unclear or unfair contract terms: the check surfaces them and gives a clear path to correction.

  5. 05

    Credibility that compounds

As Shariah-conscious customers, platforms and fintech ecosystems grow in Australia, checked businesses will be the ones trusted first.

One check. Two international standards.

The Siddiq Standard is not a private checklist. CIEA’s scholars assess your business against the leading Shariah standards, applied to the Australian context.

CIEA’s Shariah board, scholars qualified in classical jurisprudence and contemporary finance, applies these standards with CIEA’s finance and legal teams.

AAOIFI Shariah Standards

The Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions, based in Bahrain, publishes the global benchmark for Islamic finance: a suite of more than 100 standards covering Shariah, accounting, governance and ethics.

IFSB Shariah Standards

The Islamic Financial Services Board, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, is an international standard-setting body for Islamic financial services: prudential regulation, risk management and Shariah governance for institutions and markets worldwide. The Siddiq Standard is informed by its published standards.

From a short conversation to a seal you can display.

If the check finds issues, you receive a plain account of what needs to change and why, with guidance on how to fix it. Certification is issued only when the structure holds.

Questions, answered plainly.

Is this halal food certification?

No. The Siddiq Standard checks how your business operates: structure, financing, income, contracts, insurance, marketing and zakat. We can refer you for halal food certification where that is what you need.

What exactly is reviewed in the formal check?

Legal structure, financing and debt arrangements, income sources, key contracts and terms, insurance arrangements, marketing ethics and zakat obligations.

How long does the whole process take?

The free self-check takes about two minutes and gives you topics to discuss. You can also start directly with a free 15-minute discovery call; the formal check depends on your business, with a quick turnaround.

What does it cost?

The self-check and the discovery call are free. The formal check’s cost depends on your business: book a free 15-minute discovery call to find out more.

I am a gig or ride-hailing worker, not a business. Does this apply?

Yes. Multiple app-based income streams can be reviewed and certified. Many checks start with exactly this situation.

What if my business is not fully compliant?

You receive a plain account of what needs to change and why, plus guidance on how to fix it. The certificate is issued only when the structure holds.

How long is the certificate valid?

Twelve months, renewable through an annual review.

Do I need to be based in Australia?
